The Averau Refuge is a coveted stop along the Dolomites' Alta Via No. 1, is located on the 5 Torri ski slopes and can be reached on foot, by ski or chairlift from the Fedare Refuge on the Giau Pass road; it is also located in the Dolomiti Superski ski area on the Super8 Ski Tour circuit.
Family-run, it is owned by the Siorpaes family. This lends a unique and special atmosphere that makes one feel "at home".
The cuisine is of the highest level, with traditional dishes from the Dolomite valleys expertly revisited and great care taken in presentation and service.
Prestigious Italian and international certificates confirm its reputation. For those who are in a hurry or want a quick lunch, the Averau Refuge offers a Mountain Coffee Bar service: surrounded by nature and the incomparable beauty of the Dolomites, it is the perfect place to indulge in a sweet or savory snack or an afternoon snack on the panoramic terrace or in the brand new outdoor kiosk.
The Refuge offers delightful two-bed rooms in the attic, with views of Civetta and Marmolada or Tofana di Rozes, and dormitories with 6 or 10 beds
