RIFUGIO CITTA' DI FIUME

Located at 1918 meters above sea level on the pastures of Durona, the Rifugio Città di Fiume is located on the slopes of the northern slope of the majestic Mount Pelmo and offers refreshment, cooking and overnight accommodations in typical alpine tradition.

Various hikes of varying levels and times of duration are possible from the Refuge, and it is also an excellent base for accessing Becco di Mezzodì and Rocchette where there are numerous climbing routes. The convenient access path from Val Fiorentina and the structure of the Refuge make it possible for it to be open during the winter months as well, during which many equipped hiking activities such as snowshoeing and ski mountaineering can be practiced.
The not excessively high altitude and southern exposure make the Refuge and the surrounding area pleasantly frequented throughout the seasons.

Refreshment and kitchen: indoor dining room seating about 40, traditional mountain cuisine

Bar service

Reservations are required for dinner and overnight stays, while reservations are not accepted for lunch

Overnight stay:

• The shelter has 4 rooms with a total of 20 beds.
• The rooms are equipped with single or bunk beds provided with a mattress, pillow and comforter
• MANDATORY use of personal sleeping bag
• Possibility to purchase disposable TNT sack
• Toilets on the floor equipped with hot water
• HOT SHOWER: if available, coin-operated hot shower with additional charge
• Slippers and wi-fi network are available for overnight guests, and lunch reservations are not accepted.
