Our territory offers to the visitors numerous walking paths to explore the valley and to suit every kind of need. There are, for example, easy paths suitable for children which at the same time give the possibility to enjoy breathtaking views and the silence of woods.
The summer opening of lifts, in July and August, offers the possibility to reach easily a certain altitude and in this way also the less trained ones have the chance to enjoy marvellous views over the Dolomites.
In the Val Fiorentina tourist office you can find specific maps with the descriptions of the paths (walking time, difficulties, …) and our suggestions to also satisfy first time explorers of the Dolomites Unesco Heritage.
Start at the first hairpin turn after Staulanza Pass, direction Zoldo Alto. The hiking trails stretches in a magic landscape in the middle of nature. It is totally flat and this characteristic makes it suitable for children and families with strollers. When you have arrived at Malga Fontanafredda and Malga Vescovà you can buy local culinary products.

Start from Pescul and access the path n. 569 at the end of the chair-lift square.
Nice walk on track into the woods until Rifugio Fertazza. The trained people can reach Ristoro Belvedere at the top of Mount Fertazza, where there is a wonderful 360-degree panorama.
During the summer season you can arrive at Fertazza Refuge by chair-lift.
Difficulty: easy Time: 3.30h return to Fertazza Refuge + 1.30h return to Ristoro Belvedere Distance: 4 km to Rifugio Fertazza + 2 km to Ristoro Belvedere.
The excursion starts in Santa Fosca and continues towards Toffol/L’Andria. Before the bridge turn right and follow the main track. This walking path develops through the ancient pastures and can be walked also with a stroller (the road between Santa Fosca and the malga is paved). From the malga you can return to Santa Fosca along the same road or continue for a hundred of metres. After the malga there is a path in the woods on the right that leads back to Santa Fosca, but it is not accessible with a stroller.

The excursion starts from the last houses of Pescul hamlet. The walk from Pescul to Rifugio Aquileia is easy and suitable for everybody. Along the walk you can see mountain streams, pastures where cows and horses freely graze, the picnic area and at last Rifugio Aquileia. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view over Mount Pelmo.

Start from Rifugio Aquileia, walk across the flat land in front of the refuge and cross the stream descending from the Mondeval area. Follow the path that through the wood leads to Malga Fiorentina. From here, continuing along the track, you arrive in a short time to Rifugio Città di Fiume, in front of Mount Pelmo. Moreover, if you continue for 15 minutes, you can reach the wayside shrine of Sant’Antonio, located near Forcella Forada.

The excursion begins in Santa Fosca and continues towards l’Andria. After the first houses of the ancient hamlet turn right towards Malga Pien de Vacia. The paved road slightly rises until the Malga and becomes more flat until Piera de l’Autà. From here start the descent leading to Palui, near the picnic area. Arrived at its end, turn right and proceed through pastures along a path which leads firstly to Pescul and then to Santa Fosca.

The starting is located in L’Andria. Walk through the ancient hamlet where you can admire the ancient haylofts and other typical dwellings. Short after the church of Sant’Osvaldo, on the right there is a paved road that, rising, leads to the meadows over L’Andria. After this ascent the track becomes more flat through the woods and then descent towards Zardin-Rova, near Selva di Cadore. The last part of the excursion follows the main road that connects Selva to L’Andria.

The starting point is San Lorenzo square in Selva di Cadore. The path rises from the Al Monico street, through the meadows, to Zanata. From here the track proceeds flat until the crossroads with the main road leading to Giau Pass. Turning left and following it, you arrive at a crossroads. Follow the road on the right and arrive at Posalz, a typical hamlet in Colle Santa Lucia municipality. Go straight on along the Strada dei Siori, a path that from here leads to Pian, a place in Colle Santa Lucia. From Pian descend to Codalonga, where once was the border between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy. Then, after a short slope the arrival in Selva di Cadore.
